Why did you choose to do an apprenticeship?
I wanted to do a Leadership/Management qualification and hadn’t had the opportunity before. Estates Division recognise their Health & Safety professionals as leaders in the Division.
What was your experience of the apprenticeship and your training provider?
I thoroughly enjoyed it. Corndel were great. All the workshops and meetings went into the diary at the start of the apprenticeship. Liaising with other apprentices from the University on the same course was interesting as we were all in different departments.
What went well?
All of it. I think anyone who is or wants to be a leader should do this course as a foundation level.
What have you learnt?
I’ve learnt to be a better leader and look forward to improving more in the future.
What next?
Other than Health & Safety training, I would like to achieve a level 5 or 6 in Leadership & Management.
